Who We Are & What We Do

As expert wildfire meteorologists, we provide detailed weather analysis of past, present, and future wildfires.   Our specialized wildland fire meteorologists have decades of forecasting weather for major wildfires impacting communities and national forests across the US, as well as providing support for controlled burns within communities and sensitive areas.  Our meteorologists have been on the front lines of the nationals largest, most dangerous, and complex wildfires, with extensive experience working for Type I and II state and federal (FEMA) Incident Management Teams.

Rhett Milne, our primary fire weather meteorologist specialist and wildland fire weather consultant has a M.S. in Atmospheric Sciences/Meteorology and has issued thousands of fire weather and site-specific forecasts for city, state, county, and federal agencies (BLM, USFS, FEMA, USFWS, National Guard, Navy, Marines), as well as independent wildland firefighting teams.  Rhett has also taught fire weather training classes to city, country, state, and federal firefighters (BLM, USFS, NPS), including having authored numerous scientific papers on weather patterns that impact wildfires.  As a former Incident Meteorologists, Rhett has traveled to the largest and most complex wildfires in the country, providing on-site weather forecasts for city, county, state and federal wildland firefighting teams, including working alongside Incident Commanders, Fire Behavior Analysts, Emergency Managers, and Operational and Planning Section Chiefs.   

Rhett also provides expert forensic and legal analysis for major wildfires that have impacted communities in the US, including recently one of the nation's most destructive.
